Circa 1917. The double-seated Aviatik C Type was a handsome plane with good flight performance. Therefore it was sometimes modified in field by fairing over the rear seat into a single seated reconnaissance aircraft or as a single-seat fighter, in this case to escort Flik 101 bombers.
