Lancaster B.Mk.I

This Avro Lancaster В Mk.I was hit by flak during a raid on Skoda plants in Pilsen on the night of 16/17 April 1943. The plane crashed near Dobrany, thus becoming the first Allied machine shot down over the Czech territory, and its crew was the first to die here as well (Flight engineer F/Sgt Beaven one of them). Photo of R5622 was not available. Therefore colour artwork is reconstructed according to other No. 83 Squadron aircraft.
