During the Winter War the Red Cross of Denmark raised money for an ambulance aircraft for Finland. In October 1941 a Desoutter Mk.II was bought for the purpose and donated to Finland. The aircraft was flown to Helsinki, Finland on 28 October 1941 and used till 14th November 1944. Veljekset Karhumaki bought the aircraft after the war and sold it without the engine to Torsti Tallgren and Armas Jylha, Tampere, who repaired it and registered it as OH-TJA on 17 November 1947. The aircraft crashed at Tampere on 4th December 1947.
