The plane named 'Durch' (through) is the Aviatik B.I of FLIK 1 in which Benno Fiala von Fernbrugg (as observer) served his apprenticeship in the Eastern Front in late 1914. Pilot was Oblt Stanger. Benno Fiala Ritter von Fernbrugg, was third on the list on Austro-Hungarian aces, scoring 28 confirmed and five unconfirmed victories. The Aviatik carries the original type of national markings, namely red/white/red stripes, here evident on the sides of the fuselage.
