Sciacca (Agrigento), Sicily, June-July 1943. 150 Gruppo was the first RA unit to convert onto the Bf 109 fighter, receiving a mixed group of 49 F-4s, G-2s, G-4s and G-6s. Fully equipped by April 1943, it was then thrown into action over Sicily from Sciacca airfield. Under constant attack both in the air and on the ground, by the time the invasion of the island began in July, the gruppo could only muster 25 serviceable aircraft. Most had been destroyed by 28 July, when 150 Gruppo was pulled out to the continent. In response to that, they had only claimed about a dozen victories during the course of that month. (Camouflage: RLM79 Sandgelb/ mottled Grigio Azzurro Chiaro 1 upper surfaces with RLM78 Hellblau undersurfaces).

On May 23rd, 1943 150 GACT received 3 Bf.109F-4 as trainers. One of them (W.Nr.13260) was later found damaged by Americans at Sciacca airfield.
